Liverpool transfers reaction
Before I begin, I should start by praising FSG for actually acting like a big club. It’s about time that we show the prem that we are serious contenders by actually buying quality players. So, thank you, FSG. Now, let’s discuss the transfers. Also, I would like to point out that I am an American and too lazy to translate the prices to USD, so they will be in pounds (sorry, Americans).
OUT:
Trent Alexander-Arnold: £10 million
Caoimhim Kellerher: £18 million
Where to even begin with Trent? I fell in love with Liverpool around the start of the 2015 season when Klopp took over and had the pleasure of watching Trent emerge in the starting 11. He will always be a Liverpool legend to me because of his story and commitment to the team; however, hiding from us fans and not being honest about it is a bad look for him. He is a Scouser and a Liverpool fan. If he wanted to leave, I wish we could have made money off him. With that being said, Liverpool did a great job getting £10 million from Madrid is really good business and is very impressive
With Kellerher, I think this is a great move for him(even though he just lost his new manager) for many reasons. One being that he’s young and had plenty of years to learn from the best GK in the league. We sold him to Brentford for £18 million, which is a low price, but when we buy Wirtz, it’ll all be worth it. I honestly love seeing the clever business that will lead to us getting Wirtz. For those who are confused, from my understanding, we sold Kellerher to Brentford at a cheaper price so Bayer could buy Brentford’s keeper at a cheaper price, which in theory would lead to them being able to sell Wirtz at a cheaper price. Hopefully, when they fully announce the Wirtz deal, it’ll all come full circle. I am very sad to see Kellerher go, but I am excited to see him play every week.
IN:
Jeremie Frimpong: £30 million
Armin Pecsi: £1.5 million
Who isn’t happy with FSG right now? No one, and if you are, I don’t know why, because this is great business. Jeremie Frimpong is the perfect replacement for Trent. It would be an impossible task to fully replace the talent that Trent has, but Frimpong is the next best thing. He and Salah are going to go on a rampage in the Prem next season. With his speed and passing abilities, we will be unstoppable! For me, Frimpong isn’t as good as Trent on attack, but defensively, he is 100%. He is a great player at a very good price, who will fully transform the Slots team.
I would be lying if I said I knew anything about Pecsi, but what excites me is his experience. Only 20 years old, he already has tons of experience as a starter and in the respected U21 national team. I am looking forward to seeing Pecsi on the pitch next season, and hopefully seeing what Arne sees in him.
What do you think of our signings?
