Fan view of the Premier League schedule
The Premier League schedule was just released today and I’m here to give you an unbiased fan instant reaction. Instantly I noticed the Man utd vs Arsenal game, this game could really predict both of these teams season. Man utd needs to bounceback with Amorims first summer with the team and this will show if Man utd has what it takes and if the signings are working. Arsenal needs signings in the attack and depth players, if they lose this match Arsenal fans will not be happy, especially if the summer was lackluster. Man utd didn't need a hard schedule to start with and the Premier League gods are laughing at them right now. This schedule will show who are contenders very early, my honest predictions is that the 3 favorites to win the league are Arsenal, Man city, and Liverpool, and all 3 will be tested early. Below is a couple teams that their first 5 games caught my eyes.
Sunderland: They probably have the easiest first 5 games, especially out of the 3 promoted teams. Their hardest challenge will probably be the villa game, but they are home. Their first 5 games are West ham(H), Burnley(A), Brentford(H), Crystal Palace(A), and Villa(H). I have Sunderland last in my predictions and they needed an easy start.
Arsenal: They need a hot start this season, especially with how hard their schedule is. I’ve already mentioned the Man utd challenge, but if Arsenal don’t go get the players that the fans want, then I wouldn't be surprised if we see some Arteta old chants if they lose some of these games. They have Man utd(A), Leeds(H), Liverpool(A), Forrest(H), Man City(H). Let’s hope Arsenal can have a better home record this year. If they win 4 of these games, they will probably be favorites. Winning 5 would obviously make them favorites since they will be playing 2 of the other favorites.
Man City: Again like with Arsenal and Man utd, this schedule will show if they are going to be back at the top this season. They play Wolves(A), Spurs(H), Brighton(A), Man Utd(H), and Arsenal (A). Tough schedule with so much to prove and a lot of money spent so far.
Man Utd: They did not need a tough schedule and this is tough. If this goes wrong, we could see Man Utd in the relegation zone early. They play Arsenal(H), Fulham(A), Burnley(H), Man City(A), and Chelsea(H). They did get fortunate to have Fulham and Burnley after the Arsenal game and before the Man city and Chelsea games. Let’s hope they can pick up a couple of points from these 3 big six teams so we don't see another poor season from them.
