Premier league predictions: June 17th edition
Welcome to my 25/26 Premier league predictions. In this blog I will predict the table for all 20 teams based on transfers completed by June 17th. After the season starts, I will revisit this and update it based on signings and will see if teams improved or regressed after any other signings.
20. Sunderland - Sold Jobe and haven't brought anyone in but excited to see if selling Jobe will be worth it
19. Wolves - sold Cunha and Ait nouri with no player bought. I know they will sign replacements but right now they are 19th
18. Burnley - Defensively sold in the championship but didn't score many goals. Something to look out for.
17. Leeds - I like leeds and think they have a sold team and manager. Just barely survive at the moment.
16. West Ham- We need to see some improvement from them this season. Wasn't it just a couple seasons ago they won the conference league?
15. Everton - Had good momentum at the end of the season that saved them from being relegated. Let’s hope it continues.
14. Crystal Palace - I debated on putting them lower just because its a trend nowadays to see the smaller clubs struggle in the league while playing in Europe.
13. Fulham - Slight step back but still good.
12. Bournemouth - Again nothing against Bournemouth, I just think the others are better.
11. Forrest - I just don’t think we will see the strong first half from them like we did last season. They choked towards the end of the season that really cost them. Plus like mentioned before small team in Europe normally sees a drop off in the league.
10. Man utd. - I love the signing of Cunha, just don’t see them making a huge jump with the current owners. They need a lot of players to really make a difference.
9. Brentford - I love kellerher but losing Thomas Frank to Spurs will hurt. Curious to see who they bring in as a replacement.
8. Aston Villa - They are a great side but they haven't done anything so far to improve the team while others have.
7. Spurs - I like the 2 signings, Tel and Danso, and I love Thomas Frank as a manager. Let’s hope he’s ready for the challenge.
6. Brighton - They struggled with consistency in the league for years now, bouncing from bad to good every other season, but with Kostoulas, Watson, and Coppola, I have hope of a good season.
5. Newcastle - Haven't done much yet but this could be make or break depending on who leaves this summer.
4. Arsenal - I hate putting them this low but they haven't done anything and they need a lot of positions filled.
3. Chelsea - Sighed Delap at a good price along with 3 other notable transfers. I could see a title push if they bring in as few more quality signings.
2. Liverpool - If we sign Wirtz, this is a different conversation, but so far we haven't improved much, but we did replace Trent which was crucial. Frimpong should create a different attack than Trent.
1. Man city - oil money always wins, like how do they have all this money. They lost De Bruyne but gained 3 class players in Cherki, Ait Nouri, and Reijnders. They definitely put the pressure on Liverpool and not letting them go back to back too easily.
